Photographer Bio Michael has had an interest in professional photography for about 6 years. After finishing his Master of Education degree in 1997 his obsession began to take shape in the form of nature photography. He was able to combine both of his interests, hiking and photography, into one activity. Photography continued to be a serious hobby for several years until he decided to make a career of doing what he really loved. Later he took the opportunity to bring his interest to a new level. With the help of Thom Rouse, Kathryn Hawks and Mariah Deming of Rouse Photography in Dekalb, Illinois, he was able to hone his skills in the area of photographing people. While photographing weddings and other portrait sessions with Thom, Michael learned the fine art of professional photography. In November of 2002 he decided to make the leap towards officially creating his own photography business, hence, the beginning of Johnson Photography. Michael uses his natural creative insight, in tandem with the latest digital photography technology, to capture the optimum artistic results in his portraits. Although he still uses 35mm and Medium Format for some subjects, most of his photography is done with the digital camera. The impact and clarity of the digital images and prints are still very impressive. Please call or email to arrange a time to meet and chat. |
